Steve Allen's syndicated show from 1962-64. This one is from 8/15/1962. I went to one of these shows in Hollywood when I was in high school. These shows were incredibly popular with high school and college kids back then! I believe this show to be public domain as the copyright was apparently never renewed. |Steve Allen in Smile Time Undated File 3 - BNR Toast|
This show is from an incorrectly marked Bob & Ray AFRS recording I own. I cannot find any reference to this show on-line. If you know the original show date please post it in a review and the file will be corrected. The sound file has minimal clean-up but has been adjusted for tape speed problems. It is of lesser quality and posted only as a historical artifact. I hold Steve Allen in high esteem and wish there were more examples of his work available.
